Annual programme 2024

The Finance Delegation and the Federal Council have taken note of the annual programme of the Swiss Federal Audit Office (SFAO) for 2024. Aside from audits of annual financial statements, the annual programme also includes audits in connection with digitalisation and the impact of demographic change.

Against the current backdrop of uncertainty, long-term changes in social, economic and technological structures are emerging. Networked communication technologies, for example, are changing our lives. Alongside the opportunities and possibilities that this opens up, there are also risks. The Swiss Federal Audit Office (SFAO) takes a risk-oriented approach in its work: it identifies the issues that will lead to around 160 audits in 2024.

In addition to digital change, the SFAO is also focussing on other areas, including demographic change (keyword: ageing population). The traditional audits, from the federal accounts to fiscal equalization, will not be forgotten. In short, a full and varied programme that you can look forward to.
