Continuing professional development

Continuing professional development is a top priority at the SFAO. The SFAO itself is also active in many areas of knowledge transfer:

• It promotes the basic and further training of internal audit employees in the Federal Administration, in particular with its January training programme. Auditors from elsewhere in Switzerland can also attend.
• SFAO experts deliver lectures or courses as part of continuing professional development programmes at higher education institutions: e.g. at ETH Zurich, the Universities of Bern and Lausanne, Bern University of Applied Sciences and Zurich University of Applied Sciences.
• Together with the Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration (IDHEAP, University of Lausanne), the SFAO offers a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in supervision and auditing in the public sector. It is aimed at a broad target audience.
